PF-RAFT Your Formative Assessment

Described as assessments for learning rather than assessments of learning, formative assessments provide teachers with information about students' understanding during instruction. Examples of formative assessments include exit tickets, drawings, three way summaries, and others. During this session, we will look at a Role, Audience, Format, and Topic (RAFT) writing assignment that formatively assess students' understanding of difficult to teach concepts in the Pre-HSE & HSE classroom.
